“Breast Cancer Research Foundation | #NWSLonLifetime”

Sharing from a project I produced for director Krista Liney, for Lifetime Network, The Breast Cancer Research Foundation and Orlando Pride Women’s Soccer Team.

Documentary style, real people, real locations, real athletes – including star goalie Ashlyn Harris. We shot in the beautiful Orlando Pride Stadium, and at two of our countries major Cancer Research facilities, being granted access to a top scientists there, along with her graduates during their final term. The brain power + commitment + integrity in the room was intoxicating. (I mean we shot in a real live OR (operating room) at a major cancer facility during business hours.  Talk about intimate and intense.)

This project, being female led with director and producer, had the same mind blowing challenges that all productions have, shooting in Orlando, rain storms, pro athlete schedule conflicts, low budget, medical locations with extremely limited access and ultra high sensitivity, not to mention the great ECLIPSE of 2017, yet every single thing continually fell right into place. More so than on any other production I’ve done.

On this project there was a light that led the way, every single day. It was calm, focused and inspiring. Uplifting even when hard. Our entire crew and everyone we touched had an exceptional experience.

Experiences change us.

This project reminded me of why I work in this industry. Every project has it’s moments, yet when things align, capturing quality images and messages within a positive group dynamic is one of the best professional experiences to be had.

Look forward to working with you. -Tancie
